This video, a VHS mode, Shows a nice variety of towns scattered around our West, and gives a very detailed description of early mining methods, in particular, placer mining. i have enjoyed watching it several times already, and will value it for years. The History Channel has done quality work over the years, and this production is no exception. A very enjoyeable product.

Customer Review: Ordered this authentic looking Gold Pan to have engraved as a departing California gift. Looks just like the photo and is made a metal...actually looks perfect...just don't touch it. I have rubbed it and rubbed it, washed it with soap and water, rubbed it some more....but the coating put on it to give it the "rust" look just keeps turning my hands brown. Don't think I'll be able to use it.

1. The manufacturer recommends 5+ years for the toy. There's no way 5 year old to probably at least 7 years can handle and should handle it by itself. The plaster is hard which is impossible for an approximately 5-7 year old to dig apart by themselves plus you may have flying plaster pieces. Maybe ok for an 8+ year old w/o an adult.
